As a result of a short work period in the former Leuvensepoort prison in Den Bosch, we were inspired and touched by the term `identity'. The private space of a cell also made you reflect concerning your `self'. In a barn you have the same restricted space, which stands compared with a grand outside world, encouraging you to aso to reflect on the 'self'.
The physical search for the meaning of `identity' which we started in Den Bosch will be included in the work.
We ask our questions: Who are we? How do we see ourselves and how do others look at us? To what extent is our identity formed by the world around us? Are we in search of resemblances? The same perspectives? Would we be ourselves without meetings with identities of others, while maintaining the awareness of the existence of our own `I' or `self'? Do we want to be ourslelves irrespecntve of others?
